Recently I have read two books. I really hope that people like these books as much as me. I read the follow on from a good girls guide to murder ( by Hollie Jackson ) called good girl bad blood. I also read Girl missing by Sophie McKenzie. I realy loved both books and I would recommend reading them to people aged 9 and up because they’re pretty violent and a bit scary.

Welcome back everyone. I wanted to post about the wonderful books I have read in the holiday and to let you know how excited I am about World Book Day next week! Unfortunately, we can’t be together for it for this year but please do look out for some interesting activities planned for next week.
The first book I read last week was Attack of the Heebie Jeebies. I read this expecting it to be a scary book but actually it turned out to be quite a heart-warming story of a girl struggling with her emotions. It was also a great adventure story! It was a nice, quick read with some beautiful illustrations which I recommend for Year 3/4 children.
I am a big fan of Tom Percival (Do you remember The See Saw from story assembly?) so I was very excited to see he has a new book out: The Invisible. This was a wonderful story about the impact one person’s kindness can have on other people’s lives. I would highly recommend this to all ages because I think we have all felt a little invisible at times!
I also finally got around to reading A Kid in my Class by Rachel Rooney which has been on my bookshelf for over a year! This is an anthology of poems based around all the different children in one class. I was so glad to read it as it really did make me laugh! I think we have a few similar children in all our classes. It also reminded me of some of the children I went to school with. It was a really enjoyable collection of poems with a few stand out ones which I particularly loved.

I recently read and enjoyed three books. The first, was a monster calls by Patrick Ness. I really enjoyed this sad book It was about a 13 year old boy called Conor and his ill mum where a monster comes seeking the truth. The second, was the book the last black cat by Eugene Triviazas. This book was about people killing black cats because they had become convinced they were unlucky and how it was just a scheme made by people to gain money. The last was a book called A good girl’s guide to murder about how a girl investigates a murder that happened five years ago but the person who the police said did it is dead and the real killer is still alive… I really enjoyed these books and I hope other people like them as much as I do.

Since October we have been using Amazon kids plus also known as fire for kids. It is a phone/tablet app and it is also the kids corner on kindle devices. This subscription includes loads of free (or rather subscription included) games, shows but most importantly BOOKS!!! It has loads of parent control features too. Demi is currently only using the kindle device version which is just books, set to the age range 9-11.

I really enjoyed this book. It is a really good adventure. I really wanted to never put my kindle down. I really liked the main character Sophie and I really want my own monster he is really funny. I definitely recommend this book.
Project Z (3 book series) by Tommy Greenwald.
I really enjoyed this series. It’s the first ever zombie books I have ever read in my life. It wasn’t scary at all totally kids safe and enjoyable. It’s really funny. I would totally recommend this series.
